Fender Paramount Series Guitars
FenderĀ is once again expanding its offering for acoustic guitar players. The new Paramount Series guitars are here to impress with their premium materials and superior design. The series has six body types (listed below) to ensure a Paramount Series guitar for every guitarist.
Guitar Options in Paramount Series:
PD-220E Dreadnought
PS-220E Parlor
PO-220E Orchestra
PB-180E Banjo
PM-180E Mandolin
PR-180E Resonator Acoustic
The new Paramount series comprises three acoustic-electric models and three bluegrass instruments. At first glance, these models lean more toward a vintage design. Although, don’t be fooled. These instruments come packed with innovative features to improve your sound.
They are built with a solid spruce or mahogany top paired with solid mahogany back and sides. They feature an offset X- bracing pattern and soundhole-mounted controls. There’s also the brand-new Fender- and Fishman-designed Sonitone Plus pickup and, under the top, a body-sensing pickup to enhance the soundboard’s vibrations and provide a complete, balanced tone.
The guitars also have snowflake-style inlays, rope-style purfling, and rosette. They will be available in Natural or 3-Tone Vintage Sunburst, with Aged Cognac Burst on the all-mahogany models.
If you want something different, the series includes a Banjo, Mandolin, and Resonator Acoustic to round out the list with some bluegrass instruments. Each product also comes with a hardshell case or a gig bag – depending on the model.

Each of the five guitar options is available in two trim levels — the Gold Edition and Vintage Edition. It’s clear by the ten options within Squier’s 40th Anniversary Collection that Squier’s goal is to appeal to various personalities and preferences.
The Vintage Edition guitars are featured with aged chrome hardware, an anodized aluminum pickguard, a vintage-tinted maple neck with an engraved anniversary neck plate, and a satin finish. Meanwhile, the Gold Edition guitars have special gold-plated hardware, a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, and a bound Indian laurel fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, still with an engraved anniversary neck plate but a gloss finish throughout.
With the release of both the Paramount Series and Squier 40th Anniversary Collection, it’s clear that Fender remains dedicated to providing the perfect quality and sound for every kind of musician.
