Tom was most recently seen in the Australian premiere of Shrek (GFO). Prior to this he performed in the Australian tours of Muriel’s Wedding (Global Creatures) and Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Michael Cassel Group). He was previously an original cast member in the world premiere of Muriel’s Wedding for Sydney Theatre Company and can be heard on the shows original cast recording. He also toured Europe performing in Priscilla for Norwegian Cruise Lines. Tom’s other theatre credits include Only Heaven Knows (Luckiest Productions), The Drowsy Chaperone (Squabbalogic), Pete the Sheep (Monkey Baa), Happy People (Chapel Off Chapel), Nick & Nora and Seesaw (Neglected Musicals). For his portrayal of Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, he received a Glugs Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. He has also toured Australia and internationally in concert with Boys in the Band.
Tom won the prestigious Australian Cabaret Showcase in 2009 and has since toured his one-man shows Que Sera, Sharah and It’s Raining Me to sell-out theatre and festival seasons all around Australia. He premiered That 90’s Show to critical acclaim at the Hayes Theatre and received a Sydney Theatre Award nomination for Best Cabaret Performance. After coming to wider national attention as a star finalist on Channel Ten’s I Will Survive, Tom became a regular segment host on Channel Nine’s Mornings and contributor to ABC’s Movieline podcast.
